The lululemon lab is excited to host: three yoga workshops on full body conditioning by Genieve Burley, Chiropractor and yoga instructor.
Inspired to get you ready for the lululemon Seawheeze, but open to all bodies.
Wednesday, July 18, 6:30-8pm
Upper body strength and length:
Open and strengthen arms, shoulder girdle and upper spine. This flow will take us from a traditional arm opening flow, play with some arm balances in the middle and end with some sweet upper back opening.
This class will open your upper body to allow proper arm swing and train proper cross bilateral action in the back muscles during the run.
Wednesday, August 1, 6:30-8pm
Core and hips:
Learn to use your innermost layer of abdominal musculature to create power in the rest of the body. This flow will be a vinyasa class focusing on drawing in the bandhas, toning and stretching the muscles of the hips and playing with some balance.
This class will connect you to the powerhouse of your body in order to have more endurance in your legs and stability in your back during the run.
Wednesday, August 8, 6:30-8pm
Ready, set, breathe!
Perfect timing before the race to get your head in the game. We will start with some mindful meditation on being present, do a vinyasa class to open up the whole body with special focus on areas that are often injured in running, and end with some pranayama and self therapy before a delicious savasana.
This class is designed to remove muscular imbalances that may cause injury and steady the mind for a long run.
